Inkriti delivers a high performance Connector between Symantec Enterprise Vault and Digital Reef's E-Discovery Product

Framingham, MA

Inkriti's client, Digital Reef is a leading software provider of E-discovery and Early Case Assessment solutions. In today's business environment the risks and costs due to litigation and regulatory requirements are sky-rocketing, with the average cost to defend a corporate lawsuit now exceeding $1.5 million per case.

In such an environment, precision, accuracy and speed in the search, assessment, collection, processing, culling and analysis of an enterprise's electronically stored information (ESI) is critical due to the amount of ESI that is created and stored in a typical enterprise. Enterprises must comply with increasingly aggressive federal and state procedural requirements in a consistent, defensible manner that minimizes the risk of sanctions for failing to preserve relevant ESI and the resulting risks to an enterprise's reputation and goodwill.  Taking an overly broad approach to eDiscovery and compliance simply exacerbates the problem, resulting in far higher risk and out-of-control costs. Finally, an enterprise that relies solely on manual review or out-dated search technologies will also be hard-pressed to meet tight response deadlines while also facing the potential for inadvertent disclosure of privileged material or missing key documents in a proceeding. The Digital Reef product addresses all these concerns with a robust and highly scalable product.

A key requirement for the E-Discovery product is to connect to the email archives, and retrieve data from them, so that they can be scanned and searched for relevant information. As Symantec's Enterprise Vault is the leader in this Email Archiving software market, Digital Reef was interested to connect their platform with the Symantec Enterprise Vault platform -- and to do this in a highly scalable manner that could work effectively with terabytes of data.

Inkriti was selected by Digital Reef for its expertise in high performance systems, systems integration expertise in the context of enterprise content, and finally for its strengths in Global Delivery. Digital Reef also intended for this engagement to be a precusor to a broader global delivery engagement that would span building connectors with other content storage systems.

Inkriti delivered a high-quality connector in 6-weeks. The connector was designed to be highly scalable and very performance oriented. Furthermore, the project was executed in a very iterative SCRUM-based software delivery methodology, that enabled Digital Reef to test regulary and provide constant feedback.

"We are excited to work with Digital Reef, which is a leader in the high-end enteprise search, computing and e-discovery market. While we are happy to have delivered on this first engagement with them, we look to being a trusted partner, and to extend their engineering capabilities with our global delivery teams." said Vinod Pabba, CEO of Inkriti. "Our work with Digital Reef is an essential and important part of our capabilities in the broader Enterprise Search and Discovery market."
