Publishers Clearing House is one of the world's largest direct marketing organizations. Once known primarily for its magazines (and PCH giveaways), the company now makes most of its money from direct mail offerings for household items, personal care products, entertainment, collectibles, and food items in the US, the UK, and Canada. Close to half the company's profits go to charities. It has a revenue of around 540Million.

The QA Challenge
 
Both Redcats and Publishes Clearing House were in the process of moving all their dozens of websites into a new .NET based framework that would help them achieve greater standardization across the various websites. In addition to this porting exercise, they had to support the present ASP-based websites as well.
As a result of this immense workload, there were challenges at all stages in the product release cycle; and in meeting the deadlines -- especially given the need for an effective regression cycle and defect tracking systems.

A 24x7 Team Structure
 
 
Inkriti offered the client a team comprising of an onsite QA Manager, an onsite QA team and a team of experienced India-based QA Engineers. This team structure facilitated a highly efficient 24x7 operation.

The Value Delivered
 
Rapid Defect Reduction
A rigorous Regression Cycle identified and tracked bugs while still in their early stages. Each new iteration reduced the number of bugs considerably until steady-state was reached. No new bugs entered the system unless an enhancement was introduced; in which situation, the regression cycle identified them effectively.
