Accion USA is the world’s largest non-profit microfinance organization; and provides loans to small and minority owned businesses. They have hundreds of loan representatives on the field talking to and evaluating potential customers. But the process of applying for a loan was completely manual and paper-based; and was limiting their ability to provide large numbers of loans.

 

They were interested in building a web-based application to automate the process of providing loans to their customers. This system would also have to integrate with the three largest credit reporting agencies and also connect with their back-end legacy cash management system.
